Boards and Commissions


Do you want to make a difference? One way to leave an imprint on your community is to become involved in local government. Citizen participation is critical as elected officials rely on constituents’ influence to ensure that policies and decision-making reflects the best interests of the community.

The Midland County Board of Commissioners is seeking citizens interested in serving on the following boards and commissions:

  • Advisory Council to the Region VII Area Agency on Aging (1 County-at-Large representative)
  • Board of Public Works (1 County-at-Large representative, 1 representative from NE Quadrant, 1 representative from NW Quadrant & 1 representative from SE Quadrant of County)
  • Economic Development Corporation (338) (1 County-at-Large representative)
  • EMS Advisory Board (1 County-at-Large representative, 1 City of Midland-at-Large representative, 1 Village of Sanford-at-Large representative)
  • Midland County Land Bank Authority (3 County-at-Large representatives)
  • Parks & Recreation Commission (3 County-at-Large representatives)
  • Tri-City Airport Zoning Board (1 Midland County resident, 1 Midland County (outside Hazard area) resident)

Applications are due back by 12:00 p.m. on December 11, 2025.
