Four Lakes task force
In collaboration with Midland and Gladwin counties, a group of volunteers came together to form FLTF. The Four Lakes Task Force is engaged with public officials, and has three main goals:
Ensure lake levels are sustainable for the community for future generation's.
Repair dams to ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with state safety requirements.
Improve certainty on restoration time and costs.

Chippewa Nature Center
Chippewa Nature Center is one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States. Through the years, CNC has grown from its original 198 acre parcel and an all-volunteer staff to include over 1,500 acres, 40 staff members and hundreds of volunteers. Over 70,000 people visit CNC every year, including 1,000 Nature Day Campers and thousands of school children.

What you need to know about purchasing a gun

The Midland County Sheriff's Office Records Bureau issues licenses to purchase pistols Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You must bring your driver's license and a $10 notary fee.

Who needs a License to Purchase?

Individuals 18 and over purchasing firearm/s from an individual or FFL Dealer.
Individuals 18 and over who are inheriting firearm/s from a deceased family member.
Individuals who are not CPL holders.

CPL Holders may purchase firearms from an individual using the Pistol Sales Record RI-060 Form. Once the form is completed, it must be printed, signed and turned in to your local law enforcement authority for registration.
