Clinical Health Nurse - Health Department

Clinical Health Nurse

Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, provides comprehensive nursing services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment teaching, counseling, and prevention services to individuals, families, and groups to promote health throughout the county. Participates in the operation of clinics and programs, maintains patient and program activity records, investigates and monitors reports of communicable diseases, and educates the public on a variety of health topics.  

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and two years of progressively more responsible experience in public health. Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License.  Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.

Through knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing and public health, and providing nursing services and care.  Considerable knowledge of immunizations and schedules, communicable diseases, reproductive health issues, and administering various health tests.

Skill in assembling and analyzing data and preparing comprehensive and accurate reports.

Skill in effectively communicating ideas and concepts orally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness when dealing with County employees, contractors to the County, representatives of other governmental units, professional contacts, elected officials, and the public.

Skill in the use of office equipment and technology, including Microsoft Suite and applicable data base applications, and the ability to learn new technologies. Skill in the use of medical equipment used in the duties described above.

Current salary range starting at $24.69/hr progressing to $32.09/hr (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

Job Description

   42nd Circuit Court, Midland County  

Law Clerk

Under the supervision of a Circuit Court Judge, performs legal research and drafts legal memorandum for the Circuit Court.  Reviews motions requiring legal research, reviews specified documents and files for statutory compliance, drafts orders, and drafts opinions for the judge.  Performs bailiff functions including taking charge of juries.

Graduation from an accredited law school.  Primarily on-the-job training, although some related clerking or legal support experience is preferred in law office or court.  Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or working toward admission.

Current salary range starting at $24.28/hour

Corrections Deputy -  Midland County Jail

CORRECTIONS DEPUTY - PART TIME (2 POSITIONS) - 20 HOURS

Looking for part time Correctional Deputies to fill openings. Duties for this position include conducting security rounds, accepting and releasing inmates, and working with inmates and civilians and other duties as assigned by Sheriff’s Office Administration.

Candidates must pass a Background check, Physical agility test, Psychological and Medical Evaluation and meet all MSCTC standards, including a passing score on the EMPCO Corrections test prior to appointment. Test information can be obtained at www.empco.net Applicants will be required to participate in an oral interview process. Hourly rate starting at $16.46 progressing to $28.84 on a 5 year wage scale.
