The Midland County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Road Patrol Deputy position. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating criminal and civil complaints, traffic crashes, as well as enforcing traffic laws.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field and be MCOLES certified or certifiable at the time of appointment.
Current salary range starting at $36,129 progressing to $60,840 (5 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

Senior Legal Secretary-Prosecuting Attorney's Office - Full Time
Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor - Prosecuting Attorney, performs a variety of administrative support functions for the legal staff of the department. Processes and maintains criminal files from initiation to closure. Prepares and processes legal documents, prepares and generating warrants, pleadings, and correspondence, and provides general administrative support. May perform administrative functions related to child support enforcement and paternity cases including preparing and filing complaints, contacting clients to obtain necessary background information, and responding to inquiries related to family support issues.
High school diploma or equivalent, including some college coursework in paralegal or legal studies, and four years of experience providing administrative legal support. Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of general office procedures, preparing legal documents, and local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing a prosecuting office. Knowledge of the State of Michigan court system procedures and practices. Skill in analyzing and interpreting legal documents, creating legal documents, and maintaining detailed and accurate records, and managing case files in both electronic and non-electronic format. Skill in assembling and analyzing data and preparing comprehensive and accurate reports.
Current salary range starting at $17.45/hr progressing to $22.68/hr (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

Multiple positions (Part-Time- 20 hours)
Looking for part time Correctional Deputies to fill openings. Duties for this position include conducting security rounds, accepting and releasing inmates, and working with inmates and civilians and other duties as assigned by Sheriff’s Office Administration.
Candidates must pass a Background check, Physical agility test, Psychological and Medical Evaluation and meet all MSCTC standards, including a passing score on the EMPCO Corrections test prior to appointment. Hourly rate starting at $15.59 progressing to $27.31 on a 5 year wage scale.

On Call Nursing Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Pinecrest Administrator, organizes and directs the nursing and health care services on a scheduled shift. Administers medications and treatments as required and maintains appropriate records. Supervises and directs other facility staff on an assigned shift and assists them as necessary in carrying out their job functions. Greets and assists visitors to the facility and answers incoming telephone calls. Oversees the residents and assists and encourage them in their daily activities, interactions and problem resolutions.
Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. Two years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric rehabilitation setting in long-term care, home health, residential housing or a similar setting which provided care to gerontology and/or mentally and physically disabled clients. Able to become certified in CPR and First Aid.
Salary $21.10/hr. Position will remain open until filled.
On-Call Resident Associate
Midland County Adult Residential Care Facility seeking individuals to work casual, on-call hours, with the potential of working into a part-time position. Must be available to work all shifts with a special needs population. Valid driver's license and high school diploma required. Experience in housekeeping and personal care a plus. Salary $13.73/hour.
