Clerk I - Health Department
Under the supervision of a Clinical Services Director, performs a variety of administrative tasks to assist in the processing of a selection of health department records, and provides administrative support to other staff. Enrolls clients in programs and answers questions on departmental procedures, eligibility requirements, scheduling, and related matters. Creates a variety of forms and documents, completes various documents with information from the client or from file documentation, and assists in maintaining the record keeping systems. Performs data entry and generates reports.
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in providing administrative support. Ability to learn the principles and practices of providing administrative and clinical support, customer service, and basic public relations in public health. Ability to learn general office and clinical procedures, scheduling client appointment and referrals, verifying client information for applicable public health programs, maintaining detailed and accurate records, and managing a complex health care file system in both electronic and non-electronic format. Ability to learn applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to maintaining medical files and information, transmission of such files, and public health programs and services. Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness when dealing with County employees, contractors to the County, representatives of other governmental units, professional contacts, elected officials, and the public. Skill in the use of office equipment and technology, including Microsoft Suite and applicable data base applications, and the ability to learn new technologies.
Current salary range starting at $15.67/hr progressing to $20.36hr (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

42nd Circuit Court, Midland County
Under the supervision of a Circuit Court Judge, performs legal research and drafts legal memorandum for the Circuit Court. Reviews motions requiring legal research, reviews specified documents and files for statutory compliance, drafts orders, and drafts opinions for the judge. Performs bailiff functions including taking charge of juries.
Graduation from an accredited law school. Primarily on-the-job training, although some related clerking or legal support experience is preferred in law office or court. Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or working toward admission.
Current salary range starting at $24.28/hour

SEASONAL PARK RANGERS/MAINTENANCE
Performs park maintenance tasks and participates in the maintenance and preservation of park facilities. Operates park vehicles and equipment. Oversees park visitors to ensure patrons adhere to park rules and regulations. Answers questions and provides customer service. Works outside on a regular basis with exposure to various weather conditions. Starting wage: $11.87/hr.
Requirements- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older, retain a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Candidates desiring consideration for this position must have the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs., pass a physical/drug screen and criminal background check. Candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and shift work. May 6 - October 30, 2021.

CORRECTIONS DEPUTY - PART TIME (2 POSITIONS) - 20 HOURS
Looking for part time Correctional Deputies to fill openings. Duties for this position include conducting security rounds, accepting and releasing inmates, and working with inmates and civilians and other duties as assigned by Sheriff’s Office Administration.
Candidates must pass a Background check, Physical agility test, Psychological and Medical Evaluation and meet all MSCTC standards, including a passing score on the EMPCO Corrections test prior to appointment. Test information can be obtained at www.empco.net Applicants will be required to participate in an oral interview process. Hourly rate starting at $16.46 progressing to $28.84 on a 5 year wage scale.
