Secretary I - MSU Extension - Midland MI
Be the “face” of MSU Extension (MSUE) in Bay and Midland Counties and support Sugarbeet Advancement in a way that allows clientele to quickly access MSUE system information. Direct clientele to appropriate resources (e.g., MSUE staff, MSUE Bookstore, websites, etc.) and assist with the logistics and promotion of MSUE educational events in the county. Support staff in a manner consistent with delivery of MSUE programs and events, and work in a manner that fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment for visitors and staff.
Serving as the first point of contact in the office, you will research answers for clients, type, enter data, answer the phone, and file documents. You will respond to inquiries and direct phone calls to appropriate staff using MSUE Expert Search, Ask Extension, and other resources.
High School education with course work in business-related areas, such as typing and shorthand, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2023 Parks and Recreation Seasonal Employment - Park Ranger/Maintenance
Seasonal Park Ranger/Maintenance: Performs a variety of park maintenance tasks and participates in the preventative maintenance and landscaping of park facilities. Operates park vehicles and landscaping equipment. Oversees park visitors to ensure quality customer service, guest education and adherence to park rules and regulations. Works outside on a regular basis with exposure to various weather conditions. Performs routine preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment. Starting wage: $14.33/hr.
Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older, retain a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a clean driving record.
Candidates desiring consideration for this position must pass a physical/drug screen and criminal background check. Candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and multiple shifts (40 hr. workweek).
Employment begins in early May 2023 and ends in late October 2023.
