Facilities Management

Facilities Management

The Facilities Management team works county-wide to keep our county-owned buildings and grounds in good, safe repair.  We work with all elected officials as well as all departments under the umbrella of the Administrator/Controller.

Facilities that are under our jurisdiction include the Courthouse, County Services Building, the Midland County Jail, the Juvenile Care Center, and Pinecrest Farms.  The department manages the day-to-day repair and maintenance, and plans long-range capital projects.

In recent years the team has been involved in the Fast Ice Jail, Pinecrest Farms, as well as the demolition of the downtown jail.  We work closely with all stakeholders including the Board of Commissioners, department heads and elected officials, architects/engineers, contractors and sub-contractors, and all of the regulatory agencies involved in inspecting and accrediting the facilities.

Midland County has a wide range of public facilities that are unique to our community.  From our historic 1924 Courthouse to our 60-bed Pinecrest AFC home Midlanders have offered widespread support for the infrastructure needed to make Midland County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
