Richard A Enszer, Midland County Treasurer F.G.U.
The sale will be conducted as an auction with the obligation to purchase going to the highest bidder. Properties will be offered in August for no less than the minimum bid which consists of unpaid taxes, fees, interest, and costs of foreclosure and sale. Properties will be offered in September for a starting bid of $50. Properties with a minimum bid price of less than $5,000 will be bid in $50 increments; minimum bids greater than $4,999 in $100 increments. Bids must be made in person, sealed bids are not allowed. An oral bid accepted at a public auction is a binding contract to purchase a parcel.
The 2010 summer taxes are included in the minimum bid price. The 2010 winter taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser. It is the goal of your County Treasurer to sell the parcels and have them back on the tax rolls. Bid numbers will be distributed between 5:30-5:55pm the day of the sale. Only the successful bidders will need to register. You will need to provide a valid driver's license or state issued identification card if you are the successful bidder on any of the properties.
